Blended Bloom Cards {Colored with Blendabilities Markers}

red flower

Blended Bloom is a great all occasion stamp for coloring with Blendabilities Markers. The markers come in three shades (dark, medium, and light) which makes shading and blending very easy. For this birthday card, I colored the flower with the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities, then cut it out. The center was colored with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities.

I used the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder on Very Vanilla card stock, added a strip of cherry cobbler card stock, then adhered the flower on top with stampin dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Endless Birthday Wishes. I used the oval punch to cut it out, then added 2 Basic Rhinestones that I colored with the cherry cobbler Blendabilities. These alcohol markers can color anything–buttons, pearls, rhinestones.

Here is another example of the flower from Blended Bloom, colored with Old Olive Blendabilities Markers. The card base is In Color Blackberry Bliss, layered with Hello Honey. The sentiment is from a stamp I had on hand. I like the flower colored in green–it reminds me of an artichoke for some reason and looks so pretty.

Flirtatious Fabric {Scalloped Tiered Dress}

This is a twist on the scallop circle dress, usually made with paper and the Bigz Scallop Circle Die for the Big Shot. Here, I switched out the paper for Flirtatious Designer Fabric in the Wisteria Wonder/White pattern.

Directions: Cut the fabric using the Bigz Scallop Circle Die just as you would paper. Cut off scallops from each side, making sure you have 4 scallops on the top and 7 scallops at the bottom. Using the left over pieces, layer them on the dress where you would like the tiers to be, then trim off any excess scallops. I ended up with 5 scallops for one tier and 6 scallops for the second tier. Glue them to the dress with Glue Dots.

To make a belt, I took some 3/8″ White Taffeta Ribbon and tied it around the dress. Using the cropadile, I punched a hole through the ribbon and added a Ice Circle Rhinestone Brad. The dress is adhered to the base with SNAIL.

As for the rest of the card, I used Concord Crush for the base and Whisper White for the main layer. I used the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder to emboss the white layer.

The sentiment is from Perfect Punches, colored with Concord Crush Marker (outside) and Wisteria Wonder Marker (inside). I attached it to the card with stampin dimensionals.

Bring on the “Number Cake” Birthday Card

My nephew turned 2 today, so I made him this card. I really like this number stamp from Bring on the Cake, and I especially like to emboss it before coloring in the numbers.

The card base is Riding Hood Red, layered with Nursery Suite DSP. I stamped the numbers onto whisper white and then heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder. I colored in the numbers with So Saffron Marker and the number 2 with Riding Hood Red Marker. Then, I used the Corner Rounder Punch on the top corners to make it look like a cake.

The “cake stand” is a strip of Tempting Turquoise punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. I used the cropadile to add holes to each scallop and then threaded White Taffeta Ribbon through the holes.

I used chocolate chip card stock behind the cake to frame it. White Gel Pen around the edges makes it pop and coordinates with the white details in the DSP. At the bottom, I added 3 old olive buttons from the Designer Buttons Brights Collection.
