Modern Wedding Card {Poppy & Gray}

I made this for a friend who was attending a wedding last week. The card is a 6″ square, made from a 12″x6″ sheet of textured basic gray card stock, folded in half.

Across the front, I layered 2 strips of poppy parade DSP from the In Color Prints Pack (Hostess Level 1) on Whisper White and overlapped them.

The stamped image is from a retired set called Year After Year. I stamped it on Whisper White card stock using Basic Gray ink and shaded it just a bit with gray Copic Markers. Then, I used the 2 Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to add sparkle to the cake.

I layered that onto squares of Poppy Parade and Basic Gray card stock, paper piercing the corners.

The glitter letters & numbers are Making Memories glitter alphabet stickers.

Across the front and back, I tied White 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon into a bow to close the card.

Inside, I forgot to take a picture, but I used a sheet of Poppy Parade DSP (same as on the front) layered with Whisper White and stamped a sentiment.

Christmas Card Idea: Making a Wreath with a Snowflake Stamp

I’m sure you’ve seen the cards with wreaths made using snowflake stamps. I decided to try it using the snowflake from Season of Friendship.

On Whisper White card stock, I stamped the snowflake in Old Olive ink repeatedly around in a circle until I was happy with the fullness and shape of my wreath. Then, I stamped the berries from Berry Christmas in Real Red ink randomly around the wreath. With my glue pen, I dotted some glue on the berries and sprinkled on Romantic Red Glitter.

The wreath is hanging by the bow stamp from Berry Christmas in Real Red ink. Below it, I stamped “Merry Christmas” from Christmas Greetings in Real Red ink.

Using the corner rounder punch, I rounded the corners of the whisper white and layered it onto a piece of Real Red textured card stock.  As for the base, I layered Old Olive with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of vellum, which I stamped using the snowflake stamp from Season of Friendship in Old Olive ink.

Happy Halloween–Glittery Spider Webs

This card turned out so cute! And I’m normally not one to make Halloween cards, but I figured I’d give it a try this year. Base is Basic Black layered with Going Gray. The black spider web DSP is a retired Halloween DSP. I traced over the corner web with my MS Glue pen and sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

The spider was made from a 1 3/8″ Circle Punch of Basic Black card stock, with googly eyes and red circle nose. The legs are pieces of Silver Elastic Cord, that I pinched to make them bend slightly. The string he’s hanging from is also Elastic Cord. The entire spider is attached using dimensionals.

To finish off the card, I added a rub on from Chit Chat Rub Ons onto Basic Gray card stock punched with the Modern Label Punch, attached with dimensionals.

Version 2 of the Spider Web Glitter card uses Supernova Fine Glitter in Orange. Pretty much everything is the same as the card above.
