Elegant Brown and Gold Wedding Card

GoldWedding 016 copy

I made this card for a friend’s wedding. The card is actually a 5 1/2″ square, just shy of 6″x6″ because the base is Shimmery White card stock, which only comes in 8 1/2″x11″. If I used another color, I would have cut a 12″x12″ piece in half and then scored it at 6″.

The gold patterned acetate was from a craft store, adhered with glue dots to the base. I stamped the cake from For the Bride in chocolate chip craft ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, also on shimmery white card stock. That was layered on a piece of gold card stock.

Above the acetate, I added a strip of textured chocolate chip card stock running across the front of the card. Then, I adhered my cake image to the base with dimensionals.

Underneath the cake, I stamped “best wishes” from Oval All in chocolate chip craft again, heat embossing with clear embossing powder and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch. That shimmery card stock oval was layered onto a textured chocolate chip Scallop Oval and adhered to the base with dimensionals.

Inside, I stamped “Congratulations” from For the Bride in chocolate chip craft ink and heat embossed it with clear e.p. as well.

Branch Out Fall/Autumn Wedding Save the Date or Invitation

Below is the updated version of the custom printed Branch Out Save the Date. The above version is no longer available.

Here is another Save the Date card for a fall themed wedding. This is a 5″x7″ card, also known as an A7 card. The base is chocolate chip textured card stock, layered with a 4 3/4″x 6 3/4″ piece of cajun craze card stock.

Along the left side, I featured the wedding date. I punched out textured chocolate chip card stock using my Square Scallop Punch and printed the numbers on very vanilla card stock, trimmed to 1″ squares. They are adhered to the base with dimensionals.

The stamped image is from Branch Out. I stamped the tree in chocolate chip ink on very vanilla card stock. The leaves were stamped in various shades of ink.

To finish off the card and tie it all together, I added 5/8″ Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon.

I think this could easily be turned into an invitation by printing the very vanilla panel with all the wedding information and maybe changing the three numbers to monograms, like A & B for example.

More Colors, More Leaves

It must be pretty obvious by now that I LOVE this tree from Season of Friendship. Instead of using the leaves that come with the set, I decided to try this large leaf image from Autumn Harvest and it worked pretty well.

The card base is Chocolate chip textured card stock, layered with DSP from Autumn Vines DSP. The image layer is Whisper White, with a chipboard frame underneath. I covered the chipboard with Pumpkin Pie craft ink and then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.

I stamped the images in Basic Brown ink and watercolored the leaves with my Aquapainter and the following ink pads: Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie, Creamy Caramel, and Kiwi Kiss.

With the cropadile, I punched a large hole in the chipboard and put in an eyelet from Hooray kit. Then I looped a piece of 5/8″ Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon through and tied it with Hemp Twine.
