Build A Bear Birthday Boy Card

I made this card a few weeks ago, using what I consider to be “boy” colors and the Build A Bear stamp set Beary Best Friends. The funny thing is, since then, Stampin Up has announced its Color Renovation and all of these colors will remain! The colors I used here are: Pacific Point, Soft Sky, Real Red, So Saffron, and Whisper White.

The card base is Pacific Point, cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ folded in half. I took a wide strip of Whisper White and layered it with Bashful Blue DSP from the Prints Pack. Underneath that, to the right, I added a strip of So Saffron card stock, stamped with “happy birthday” from Eat Cake in Real Red ink. To add more interest, I pierced holes below the sentiment with the Paper Piercer and adhered it to the base with Stampin Dimensionals.

For the bear, I stamped the image onto Whisper White card stock with Basic Gray ink. I colored in the image with Stampin Up Markers and added Brown Flocking Powder to the bear’s body. Then, I punched out the image with a Mega Circle Punch, layered onto a Real Red Giga Scallop Circle punch.

The hat and balloon images are from the accessories set Beary Best Times. I stamped the hat onto a separate sheet of Whisper White, colored it, and cut it out with scissors. The balloon was also stamped on another piece of whisper white, colored with Real Red Marker, and then highlighted with Crystal Effects. I cut out the pieces of the balloon and attached them to the card with SNAIL and Stampin Dimensionals.

Build A Bear Easter Card

This is an Easter card using the Build A Bear stamp Beary Best Friends. I chose to make this one for a little boy, but there is also a cute girl bear image in the set. The accessory set is called Beary Best Times and includes images such as this Easter basket, a skateboard, an umbrella, ice cream cone, and others.

The card base is Gina K Luxury White base weight, layered with blue polka dot paper from Welcome Neighbor DSP (part of the Sale-A-Bration catalog).

I stamped the bear and basket in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in with Copic Markers. I mounted that onto Old Olive card stock and then using the Cropadile, added two orange Circle Rhinestone Brads in the upper right corner. That was attached using Stampin Dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I stamped “Happy Easter” from Well Scripted in Pumpkin Pie ink on Whisper White. I punched it out using the Large Oval Punch and layered it onto an Old Olive Scalloped Oval Punch out. That was also attached using Stampin Dimensionals.

Build A Bear Cards {Boy & Girl}

I made this card for a color challenge on Splitcoast. The colors were Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, and Dusty Durango (plus a neutral like Whisper White or Very Vanilla). An additional option was to use patterned paper.

The card base is Dusty Durango textured card stock, layered with Autumn Vine DSP in a Sage Shadow pattern. On top of that is Chocolate Chip textured card stock. All the corners of this card were rounded using the Corner Chomper set to the 1/2″ setting.

I stamped the boy bear from Beary Best Friends in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla card stock and colored him in with Copic Markers. Again, I rounded the corners and layered it onto Dusty Durango card stock. Then, using the paper piercer, I pierced holes in the Very Vanilla card stock and attached it with Stampin Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Picture This (Hostess Level 1 set from the Occasions Mini). I stamped it in Sage Shadow ink on Very Vanilla card stock and cut it out with the Word Window Punch. That was layered on a Dusty Durango Modern Label Punch, adhered with Stampin Dimensionals. On either side of the label, I added Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brads, also from the Occasions Mini.

Since I had the Beary Best Friends stamp out, I decided to make a girl Build A Bear version. The card base is Going Gray, layered with Rich Razzleberry textured card stock and a polka dot paper from Shades of Spring DSP. The dots are pale plum on Very Vanilla, very subtle.

I stamped the bear in Going Gray ink on Very Vanilla card stock, coloring her in with Copic Markers. That is layered onto Rich Razzleberry textured card stock. I added a border at the bottom using the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

To finish off the card, I stamped “from me to you” from So Many Sayings in Rich Razzleberry ink on Very Vanilla card stock. I cut that out with the Word Window Punch and layered it onto Rich Razzleberry Modern Label Punch.
