Good Neighbors Movers & Shapers Heart Card

The Movers & Shapers Die for the Big Shot makes awesome window cards, and in the case of a corresponding punch, the window is a little larger to allow for layering and allowing the punched image to pop out.

Here, I didn’t use the Full Heart Punch (but that would coordinate with this). Instead I used the Magnetic Movers and Shapers Heart and Kraft card stock to make the card base. Then, I stamped “congratulations” from Well Scripted in Chocolate chip Craft ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

Inside, I layered Very Vanilla card stock and stamped the houses from Good Neighbors. Then, I stamped them again onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and trimmed out the pieces with my scissors. I attached the cut out pieces on top of the stamped images using Stampin Dimensionals. Above the houses, I stamped clouds from the same set in Soft Sky ink.

Outside, I tied 5/8″ Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon. I think it makes a nice card for someone buying their first house!

Shades of Spring Valentine

I decided to go with a slightly non traditional color scheme in making this Valentine’s Day card. For the base, I used Old Olive card stock (but Certainly Celery would also be a good choice). The pink patterned paper is from Shades of Spring DSP and the green polka dot paper is from Tall Tales DSP.

I cut the striped DSP to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the polka dotted DSP to 4″ x 3″. I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on the top edge of the polka dotted paper, and the Small Heart Punch at the bottom. Then, I adhered the green DSP to the pink DSP and tied some Regal Rose 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon around that panel.

The sentiment is from Well Scripted, stamped in Certainly Celery ink on Whisper White card stock. I punched it out with the Full Heart Punch and layered it onto Regal Rose cut out with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit using the Big Shot. That is attached to the card base with Stampin Dimensionals.

Tote-ally Tess: Sending a Little Love

vday2

I just love this Tote-ally Tess stamp. I guess I never got on the Stamping Bella kick so this is all so new and exciting to me! Since this is a Valentine’s day card, I stuck with the classic (in my mind) Valentine colors–pink, red, and chocolate. Speaking of chocolate, I just had a great idea!! Tess could be holding a chocolate, or a chocolate heart box! I’ll get on that but for now, I’ll tell you about this card.

The base is Kraft card stock, layered with Chocolate Chip Designer Series Paper in the polka dot pattern. I stamped Tess onto whisper white card stock in Chocolate chip ink and colored her in with my Stampin Up Markers. The heart she’s holding was made with the Small Heart Punch and Real Red card stock. I attached it with a Stampin Dimensional. Next to her, I stamped the “love you much” from Well Scripted in Real Red ink.

I layered the stamped image on Pink Pirouette card stock and adhered it to the Chocolate Chip DSP with Stampin Dimensionals. Then, I tied some 5/8″ Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon around the DSP and attached that to the Kraft base with Stampin Dimensionals again for a layered effect.
