Congratulations Card

WOW! The font on this “congratulations” stamp is just beautiful! It’s called Well Scripted and again, I ordered it in clear mount. It couldn’t be easier to use.

The card base is striped Kraft (from Taste of Textiles) and I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder.

Then, I used the butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and my Big Shot to decorate the rest of the card front. The butterflies are made from Melon Mambo, Apricot Appeal, and Baja Breeze card stock. They’re attached with Mini Glue Dots in a cascading pattern.

Season of Glitter–Birthday Card

This is another card I made using my beloved Striped Kraft card stock. Instead of a winter scene, this one features a beautiful tree for fall. I’m going to a birthday party in a couple weeks for my dad’s friend, and although this breaks 2 major rule of Male Cards, I think I’m going to give it to him anyway. Rule #1 is NO Glitter for a man card and Rule #2 is NO Bows–Just ask my husband.

The card base is Baja Breeze, layered with chocolate chip textured card stock, which I scalloped the edges using the Scallop Edge Punch. The image layer is Striped Kraft, with the tree from Season of Friendship stamped in chocolate chip ink. The leaves are stamped in Palette Glue Pad and then sprinkled with Supernova Fine Cosmo Glitter in Orange and Green.

I tied some 5/8″ Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon in a knot around the Kraft layer and attached the whole thing with dimensionals. The sentiment is from Chit Chat Rub Ons.

Tis the Season to Get Krafty

Today, I decided to break out the last 12×12 sheet of Striped Kraft cardstock (from Taste of Textiles) in my stash. I’ve always wanted to try stamping directly on the Kraft and then coloring in with white pencil. I’m not sure if that technique has a name, but I’ve always wanted to do “that”.

As I said, the card base is striped kraft (from retired Taste of Textiles) stamped with the tree from Season of Joy in Stazon Brown ink. The snowman is from Snow Buddies, stamped in Stazon Brown ink and colored in using Watercolor Pencils.

In the background, I stamped the snowflake from Snow Buddies in White Craft ink. The glittery swirl image, from the same stamp set, is stamped in Palette Glue Pad, then stamped on the paper. I added Dazzling Diamonds immediately after stamping. Along the branches I used my MS Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds glitter to make snow.

Along the bottom of the card, I took whisper white card stock and tore it for a snowy effect. To make it even more sparkly, I ran my glue pen along the torn edge and added more Dazzling Diamonds. Although hard to see in the picture, I also stamped “Merry Christmas” from Christmas Greetings in White Craft ink on the 5/8″ Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon. Then, I wrapped the ribbon around the white card stock and adhered it to the base.
