Domino Magnets

I love how these domino magnets turned out. The black and white really pops. The stamp is an old SAB set Polka Dot Punches. I stamped the circle image randomly on the domino, with Versamark ink. Then, I heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder.

Here is the same stamp set, but embossed with White Embossing Powder. I applied the ink to the domino after embossing with a Sponge Dauber. The colors used here are: Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac, and Regal Rose.

Last but not least, these domino magnets were made using the En Francais Background stamp. I stamped onto the domino with Brown Stazon ink. Then, using sponge daubers, I applied Pretty in Pink and So Saffron ink to the dominoes.

In the lower corner of each domino, I added a button (from Designer Buttons) with a Basic Pearl in the center of the flower. I glued the flowers on with Crystal Effects.

With Deepest Sympathy Card {Thanks for Caring}

This card uses the Thanks for Caring stamp from the Occasions Mini Catalog. Unfortunately, I have needed to make a few sympathy cards lately.

The base is River Rock textured card stock. I placed a wide strip of Chocolate Chip card stock down the front, layered with a short piece of Elegant Soiree DSP. Above and below that piece, I used 2 Basic Pearls.

As for the sentiment, I colored it with SU Markers: Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, and River Rock. It was stamped on Whisper White card stock on which I paper pierced the corners only. With a sponge dauber, I sponged on some River Rock ink just to soften the white a little bit. That was matted onto Chocolate Chip textured card stock with stampin dimensionals.

Horizontally, I added a strip of Baja Breeze card stock, embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.

Chalkboard Technique Fall Card

There is something about the chalkboard technique on dark brown card stock rather than black that I like better. It looks warmer, and with fall right around the corner, I was in the mood to use the Season of Friendship stamp.

First, I stamped the tree with White Craft ink onto chocolate chip card stock cut with the Top Note Die. I added some leaves on the tree and along the ground with White Craft ink as well. Next, I used Stampin UP Pastels (chalks) in browns and oranges and yellows to color in the stamped image. After rubbing the excess chalk away with a dry tissue, your colored image is revealed.

I’m on a Victoria Crochet Trim kick lately. I did not think I would like it but ordered it on a whim and now I can’t stop using it! I wrapped the ribbon around the top note and added a sentiment from Whimsical Words stamped in Cajun Craze ink on Very Vanilla. I punched it out with the Curly Label Punch and attached it to the card with a stampin dimensional. To highlight the edges, I took a sponge dauber in More Mustard ink (my dauber had a little shimmer paint residue on it, hence the sparkles).

The card base is More Mustard layered with Cajun Craze (a perfect fall color). I embossed the Cajun Craze with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder before adhering it to the card.
