Valentine’s Day Greeting

I made this Valentine’s Day card for a swap, using the Greeting Card Kids stamp set. If you recognize the image, I used it not too long ago to make Valentine card treats for my daughter’s classmates.

I decided to take off the hearts since it was hiding all the work I did to layer the ribbon! The ribbon is White 3/8″ Taffeta layered with Pretty in Pink 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon. I wrapped it around a layer of Love Patterns DSP, on a Whisper White base.

At the bottom of the DSP, I stamped “LOVE” from Filled with Love stamp set in Real Red Craft ink, then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

I forgot to take a picture, but inside, I lined the card with Pretty in Pink card stock and added a red heart made with the Small Heart Punch.

Good Neighbors Movers & Shapers Heart Card

The Movers & Shapers Die for the Big Shot makes awesome window cards, and in the case of a corresponding punch, the window is a little larger to allow for layering and allowing the punched image to pop out.

Here, I didn’t use the Full Heart Punch (but that would coordinate with this). Instead I used the Magnetic Movers and Shapers Heart and Kraft card stock to make the card base. Then, I stamped “congratulations” from Well Scripted in Chocolate chip Craft ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

Inside, I layered Very Vanilla card stock and stamped the houses from Good Neighbors. Then, I stamped them again onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and trimmed out the pieces with my scissors. I attached the cut out pieces on top of the stamped images using Stampin Dimensionals. Above the houses, I stamped clouds from the same set in Soft Sky ink.

Outside, I tied 5/8″ Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon. I think it makes a nice card for someone buying their first house!

3 Little Monkeys Jumping…Valentine’s Day Card

vday1

If you have kids I’m sure you know where that title comes from! Instead of 3 little monkeys jumping on the bed, I decided to have them jumping on big red hearts.  I know we’re about a month and half away from Valentine’s Day but I love that holiday because it involves a lot of chocolate!

This card uses a few new stamp sets from the Occasions Mini including Fox and Friends, Well Scripted, and I {Heart} Hearts, all of which I bought in the new clear mount option. The Occasions Mini goes live Tuesday January 5th for anyone who is interested.

The base is Pink Pirouette card stock, layered with Chocolate Chip Designer Series Paper in my favorite polka dot pattern. I stamped the monkey from Fox and Friends 3 times in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. Underneath, I stamped the dotted heart from I {Heart} Hearts in Real Red ink twice. The hearts the monkeys are holding are from I {Heart} Hearts, stamped in Real Red ink and punched out using the new Small Heart Punch, attached to the card with a Mini Glue Dot.

Along the bottom, I wrapped a piece of 5/8″ Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon around the Chocolate Chip DSP (which is attached to the base with Dimensionals). The sentiment is from Well Scripted, stamped in Real Red ink on Pink Pirouette card stock, punched with the Scallop Oval Punch. I attached it with Dimensionals and also Paper Pierced the scallops to coordinate with the polka dot background paper.
