Bold and Bright Bazaar

As soon as I saw the International Bazaar Designer Series Paper I knew I had to have it. It’s bright and the patterns and shapes are really cool. I thought it would go well with the Moroccan type stamp from Summer Silhouettes.

I used Crumb Cake for the base, layered with In Color Midnight Muse. I stamped the Moroccan print stamp from Summer Silhouettes in Midnight Muse ink up the bottom half of the card stock. A little strip of International Bazaar DSP in this bright feather pattern goes a long way.

The sentiment is from Well Scripted, stamped on Whisper White card stock. I used the Apothecary Accents Framelits to cut out the sentiment, as well as a piece of Summer Starfruit card stock. Then I traced around the inside of the die with a pencil and cut out the White card stock to mat it with the Starfruit. To finish off, I pierced around the edge with the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack.

Here is another card I made using the International Bazaar DSP. With Midnight Muse as the base, the DSP is the star of the show. In keeping with the rainbow theme, I inked up the sentiment from Word Play in rainbow colors by coloring direct to stamp with Stampin UP Markers. I stamped it onto Whisper White card stock and cut it out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Die.

Before adhering the DSP to the base, I cut out a window in the lower corner using the Apothecary Accents Framelits Die. Then, I slipped in the piece I stamped with the sentiment so the front of the card is flush.

More Flirtatious Specialty Fabric Cards

Here are the last two cards I made experimenting with the Flirtatious Specialty Fabric. First up is this bright birthday card in  Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, and Melon Mambo. I used the Perfect Details Texturz Plate in the Big Shot to texturize the yellow card stock. I layered it on Whisper White, which I punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

The flower was made using Island Floral Bigz Die. I layered two of the large flowers and two of the small ones, using a 5/16″ Basic Brad in the center to hold them together. I made “leaves” with Old Olive 5/8″ Grosgrain ribbon.

As for the sentiment, I used Perfect Punches colored in with SU Markers and then punched using the Extra Large Oval Punch, then attached to the card using stampin dimensionals.

Finally, I made one last card with Flirtatious Designer Fabric. It’s a 5″x5″ square using Wisteria Wonder as a base. The next layer is Whisper White, followed by Pretty in Pink die cut with Bigz Scallop Square Die.

The fabric was cut using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit Die. I layered them onto melon mambo/whisper white squares, with a Small Heart Punch in the center. A rhinestone was added to the middle of each heart. The squares are adhered with stampin dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Well Scripted, stamped in Wisteria Wonder ink.

Father’s Day Motorcycle Cards

I FINALLY made a “manly” card! This is really hard for me because by definition, cards are not very manly. Men just don’t care about receiving cards; they probably throw them out 5 minutes after reading them. Not that my husband does that. Nevermind that he can’t because I take them back 5 minutes after he reads them and I save them!

With Father’s Day coming up, masculine cards are the project of the day. This motorcycle stamp, aptly called Motorcycle, from the Stampin Up Summer Mini catalog is perfect for Father’s Day. Most dads love motorcycles, whether they have one or wish they had one.

The card above uses Crumb Cake base, layered with new Cherry Cobbler. The Gray DSP is from Urban Oasis (one of the best collections EVER in my opinion). I stamped the motorcycle in Memento Black ink and colored it in with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from Well Scripted, stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White. I punched it out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch and layered it onto a Metal Edge Tag. Then, I added 3 small Silver Brads and using Stampin Dimensionals, layered the tag onto a 1 3/4″ Circle Punch of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.

This version uses a different color scheme and different sentiment stamp. The base here is Marina Mist, layered with Crumb Cake and the Urban Oasis DSP. Again, I stamped the image in Memento Black and colored in with Copic Markers. The image was layered onto Marina Mist and attached to the base with Stampin Dimensionals. For the sentiment, I used And Many Mower, stamped in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White. I punched it out with the Large Oval Punch and layered it onto a Scallop Oval punched from Marina Mist.
