Season of Glitter–Birthday Card

This is another card I made using my beloved Striped Kraft card stock. Instead of a winter scene, this one features a beautiful tree for fall. I’m going to a birthday party in a couple weeks for my dad’s friend, and although this breaks 2 major rule of Male Cards, I think I’m going to give it to him anyway. Rule #1 is NO Glitter for a man card and Rule #2 is NO Bows–Just ask my husband.

The card base is Baja Breeze, layered with chocolate chip textured card stock, which I scalloped the edges using the Scallop Edge Punch. The image layer is Striped Kraft, with the tree from Season of Friendship stamped in chocolate chip ink. The leaves are stamped in Palette Glue Pad and then sprinkled with Supernova Fine Cosmo Glitter in Orange and Green.

I tied some 5/8″ Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon in a knot around the Kraft layer and attached the whole thing with dimensionals. The sentiment is from Chit Chat Rub Ons.

Autumn Harvest Fall Cards

I don’t usually send Halloween or Thanksgiving cards, but I like the look of them, so I try to send them to people with fall birthdays, or as a seasonal Thank You.

The above card uses the Woodgrain BG stamp. I really don’t like using BG stamps because they’re so hard to ink up, but this was one of the exceptions because I like the image a lot!

Card base is Dusty Durango Textured card stock. I then stamped Woodgrain in Basic Brown ink onto Creamy Caramel card stock. The main image is from Autumn Harvest, stamped in Brown Stazon on Very Vanilla card stock. I used a mask to stamp the pumpkins and colored in the images with my Earth Elements Watercolor Crayons and Aquapainter. I layered the vanilla card stock onto Chocolate chip and tied a piece of Chocolate Chip Twill Ribbon around the front. The sentiment is from Chit Chat Rub Ons, applied onto Dusty Durango card stock, punched out with the Modern Label Punch, up on dimensionals.

This next card uses Autumn Harvest again, and of course my new favorite Woodgrain BG stamp!! Card base is Dusty Durango Textured card stock, layered with polka dotted More Mustard Autumn Vines DSP.

Across the bottom of the card, I took a strip of Creamy Caramel stamped with Woodgrain in Basic Brown ink and layered it onto a strip of Chocolate Chip card stock. That is acting as my “log” on which I placed my pumpkins.

Pumpkins from Autumn Harvest were stamped in Brown Stazon on Very Vanilla card stock, colored in with Earth Elements Watercolor Crayons and Aquapainter. Then, I cut out each image and attached it to the card using dimensionals.

The sentiment is a Chit Chat Rub On on Dust Durango card stock, punched out with Modern Label Punch and popped up with dimensionals. As an added touch, I “stitched” around the label with my White Gel Pen.

Inside both cards, I lined them with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock to make writing easier to read.

Snow Buddies Snow Globe

This is a CASE from the back cover of the Holiday Mini Catalog. I changed a few things, like the ribbon and base, and added a rub on sentiment. SO CUTE!

Directions: The sample didn’t come with directions so I winged it.

1. First, I used my Coluzzle (2nd to largest ring) to cut Bashful Blue card stock, folded at the top. Line up the Coluzzle cutting ring just above the fold to preserve it.

2. Cut another circle from a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock using the same 2nd to largest ring. Cut the cirle in half to make the base of the snow globe.

3. Glue the base pieces to the bottom of the snow globe and the back side as well. Make sure to line them up or your card won’t close properly!

4. Stamp the snowflakes onto the front of the Bashful Blue card stock. I used Vesamark and White Embossing Powder.

5. Stamp the snowmen from Snow Buddies onto Whisper White using Black Stazon. Color them in–I used Markers. Trim them out with paper snips.

6. Tie some ribbon around the base of the snow globe, here I used Very Vanilla 5/8″ Grosgrain.

7. Adhere your snowmen using dimensionals to the front of the snow globe.

8. Add a greeting to the base. I used Chit Chat Rub On in white on Bashful Blue card stock I punched out using Modern Label Punch.
