School Days Scallop Square Chipboard Box

I made this box for my sister’s classroom. It’s designed to hold the numbers for her class calendar, hence the “school days” title.

I used colored chipboard sheets and ran them through the Big Shot using the Bigz Clear Scallop Square Die. I attached each one by punching holes with the cropadile and weaving Crushed Curry Polka Dot ribbon through the holes.

For the bottom of the box, I used one of the chipboard scallop squares, glued in with Tombow Multi.

On the front, I decorated the box with tempting turquoise card stock, certainly celery, and whisper white. I stamped “school days” using the retired set Tidy Alphabet in real red, tempting turquoise, certainly celery, pumpkin pie, and daffodil delight ink.

The school buses are from the new set Every Little Bit, colored in with Copic Markers, cut out, and adhered to the box with stampin dimensionals.

Autumn Days Fall Scrapbook Pages

In the northeast, it’s peak leaf season. The trees are colored with red, yellow, gold, orange, and rust. I tried to use some of those colors in these pages, which I intend to fill with pictures of my daughter playing in a pile of leaves.

These 12×12 pages are made from Crushed Curry textured card stock for the base. Across the bottom half of page 1, I used Autumn Vines DSP. In the center, I layered chocolate chip card stock with Really Rust DSP from Autumn Vines and whisper white. The cork letters were from a craft store. I mounted some of them onto 1 3/8″ Circles layered with 1 1/8″ circle of DSP.

The photo mats are really rust and crushed curry card stock that I ran through the Crimper for some texture, adhered to the page with dimensionals. I made faux photo corners by placing a chocolate chip square underneath the upper corners of the DSP photo mat on page 1.

On page 2, I took a scallop chipboard frame and tied some Chocolate Chip 5/8″ Grosgrain and Crushed Curry Polka Dot grosgrain around it. Underneath, I stamped the pumpkin from Autumn Harvest in Brown stazon ink, and watercolored it with Tangerine Tango ink and my Aquapainter.

More Colors, More Leaves

It must be pretty obvious by now that I LOVE this tree from Season of Friendship. Instead of using the leaves that come with the set, I decided to try this large leaf image from Autumn Harvest and it worked pretty well.

The card base is Chocolate chip textured card stock, layered with DSP from Autumn Vines DSP. The image layer is Whisper White, with a chipboard frame underneath. I covered the chipboard with Pumpkin Pie craft ink and then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.

I stamped the images in Basic Brown ink and watercolored the leaves with my Aquapainter and the following ink pads: Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie, Creamy Caramel, and Kiwi Kiss.

With the cropadile, I punched a large hole in the chipboard and put in an eyelet from Hooray kit. Then I looped a piece of 5/8″ Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon through and tied it with Hemp Twine.
