Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Simple Birthday Card

This is a really simple birthday card that took less than 10 minutes to make! Although simple and quick, it’s still pretty, with lots of texture thanks to the new Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowers.

The card base is Old Olive card stock, layered with Shades of Spring DSP in a pink striped pattern. I stamped “happy birthday” from Well Scripted in chocolate chip ink on Whisper White card stock and adhered it to the DSP. Then, I took some 1″ Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon and wrapped it around the DSP, attaching the whole thing to the card base with SNAIL adhesive.

To finish off the card, I added two items from the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt: the pink & brown flower and the green leaf. I used glue dots to attach the felt.

Holiday Card {Berry Christmas Bird}

It’s not even Thanksgiving yet and I’ve made more Christmas cards than I care to count! I’m so ready to move onto something new. In about a week, I can preorder new stuff from the Occasions Mini Catalog and I’m excited!

This card was made using Soft Suede as the base, layered with a soft suede striped DSP from Christmas Cocoa. I stamped the leaf from Berry Christmas in Old Olive ink, and added 3 Circle Rhinestone Brads for holly berries. The bird is also from Berry Christmas and I stamped it in Real Red ink, trimming it out with my scissors and adhering it to the base with a dimensional. Underneath the leaf, I used my Paper Piercer to make a row of dots.

As for the sentiment, from Heard from the Heart, I colored in the words with Old Olive marker and “Christmas” with Real Red marker. The Whisper White layer was then attached to Real Red textured card stock with dimensionals.

Christmas Card Idea: Making a Wreath with a Snowflake Stamp

I’m sure you’ve seen the cards with wreaths made using snowflake stamps. I decided to try it using the snowflake from Season of Friendship.

On Whisper White card stock, I stamped the snowflake in Old Olive ink repeatedly around in a circle until I was happy with the fullness and shape of my wreath. Then, I stamped the berries from Berry Christmas in Real Red ink randomly around the wreath. With my glue pen, I dotted some glue on the berries and sprinkled on Romantic Red Glitter.

The wreath is hanging by the bow stamp from Berry Christmas in Real Red ink. Below it, I stamped “Merry Christmas” from Christmas Greetings in Real Red ink.

Using the corner rounder punch, I rounded the corners of the whisper white and layered it onto a piece of Real Red textured card stock.  As for the base, I layered Old Olive with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of vellum, which I stamped using the snowflake stamp from Season of Friendship in Old Olive ink.
