Dasher Embossed-Movers & Shapers Window Card

The idea for this card came about from trying to glitter up the Dasher Reindeer stamp. My brown glitter wasn’t sticking permanently and I almost gave up completely when I decided to try iridescent ice embossing powder.

On whisper white card stock, I stamped the reindeer in chocolate chip craft ink, then heat embossed it  with iridescent ice. Then, using the stampamajig, I stamped the image again in chocolate chip craft ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, which gave it a little more shine. The whisper white card stock was then adhered to the inside of the card. Placement of the reindeer is important, so I made light pencil marks on my white card stock around the curly label window.

The card base is real red textured card stock, cut with the Movers and Shapers die in the Big Shot. I stamped the front randomly with the snowflake from Season of Friendship in real red ink. Along the side, I took some Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon and added a Felt Flurry and a Circle Rhinestone Brad, which I attached using the cropadile.

Below the curly label window, I stamped the greeting from Berry Christmas in real red ink on whisper white. I punched it out using the Word Window Punch and layered it on chocolate chip card stock I punched with the Modern Label Punch. That is attached to the card using dimensionals.

Crimped Slide Out Pocket Card Save the Date

SaveTheDate 001 copy

This is a fun Save the Date idea for a fall wedding. The crimped kraft card stock reminds me of the coffee sleeves you get at Starbucks!

Using the same technique for my slide out pocket gift card, I modified the design buy making the outer pocket shorter (4 1/2″ x 11″) scored at 6 3/4″ and 2 1/2″. After scoring, I ran the kraft card stock through the crimper, then adhered it with sticky strip. (See my video tutorial for more specific information.)

The window was made using the Modern Label Punch. Then, using the Leaves Awash Jumbo Wheel and chocolate chip ink, I rolled the leaves across the front of the card.

For a monogrammed look, I stamped the “M” from Lovely Letters alphabet in chocolate chip craft ink on very vanilla card stock and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then, I punched out the image with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch and layered it with dusty durango punched with the Scallop Circle Punch. That is attached to the pocket card with a dimensional.

For the insert, I took a piece of dusty durango and cut it to 4″ x 4 1/4″. That is layered with very vanilla trimmed to 3 3/4″ x 4″. I stamped “save the date” from Introducing in chocolate chip craft ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. At the top of the insert, I added a 3/4″ chocolate chip circle and then used my cropadile to set a jumbo eyelet. Some hemp twine knotted through the eyelet makes a nice pull.

Another Snow Buddies Christmas Card

IMG_1186 copy

This card is similar to another one I made on striped kraft card stock, but I decided to change up the colors a bit. I went for a non-traditional christmas color scheme of bermuda bay card stock and kraft.

Card base is bermuda bay textured card stock, layered with kraft. I stamped the snowmen from Snow Buddies in Brown Stazon ink and colored them in with SU Watercolor Pencils and the Blender Pen. To accent the snowflakes, I colored them in with White Gel Pen.

Along the bottom of the card, I drew in a mound of “snow” with my white colored pencil, traced along the top edge with my Glue Pen and then sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds to highlight.

The sentiment is from Chit Chat Rub Ons, on white card stock punched out with the Word Window Punch layered on bermuda bay punched with the Modern Label Punch. The ribbon is Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Grosgrain.
