Birthday Bakery {Hostess Set}

The new Basic Pearls Jewel Accents are backed with adhesive, so sticking them on any project is simple. Here, I decorated some of my cakes from Birthday Bakery (Hostess Level 1) with them!

I stamped the cakes onto Whisper White and colored them in with Copic Markers. Across the top and the bottom, I paper pierced the white card stock and layered it onto Pink Pirouette.

The base is Crumb Cake, layered with a scrap of Shades of Spring DSP I had in my desk drawer. Across the front, from top to bottom, I wrapped a piece of 1″ Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon around the DSP and tied a smaller piece into a knot at the top. Then, I attached the stamped layer to the base with stampin dimensionals.

Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Simple Birthday Card

This is a really simple birthday card that took less than 10 minutes to make! Although simple and quick, it’s still pretty, with lots of texture thanks to the new Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowers.

The card base is Old Olive card stock, layered with Shades of Spring DSP in a pink striped pattern. I stamped “happy birthday” from Well Scripted in chocolate chip ink on Whisper White card stock and adhered it to the DSP. Then, I took some 1″ Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon and wrapped it around the DSP, attaching the whole thing to the card base with SNAIL adhesive.

To finish off the card, I added two items from the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt: the pink & brown flower and the green leaf. I used glue dots to attach the felt.

Dasher Embossed-Movers & Shapers Window Card

The idea for this card came about from trying to glitter up the Dasher Reindeer stamp. My brown glitter wasn’t sticking permanently and I almost gave up completely when I decided to try iridescent ice embossing powder.

On whisper white card stock, I stamped the reindeer in chocolate chip craft ink, then heat embossed it  with iridescent ice. Then, using the stampamajig, I stamped the image again in chocolate chip craft ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, which gave it a little more shine. The whisper white card stock was then adhered to the inside of the card. Placement of the reindeer is important, so I made light pencil marks on my white card stock around the curly label window.

The card base is real red textured card stock, cut with the Movers and Shapers die in the Big Shot. I stamped the front randomly with the snowflake from Season of Friendship in real red ink. Along the side, I took some Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon and added a Felt Flurry and a Circle Rhinestone Brad, which I attached using the cropadile.

Below the curly label window, I stamped the greeting from Berry Christmas in real red ink on whisper white. I punched it out using the Word Window Punch and layered it on chocolate chip card stock I punched with the Modern Label Punch. That is attached to the card using dimensionals.
