Ornate Blossom {Vintage Style}

Well, this is my attempt at vintage anyway! This card almost ended up in the trash, but a last minute attempt at swiping the ink pad over the card stock saved it. The base is Pear Pizzaz, one of the new In Colors, swiped with Pear Pizzaz ink directly from the ink pad. It gives it a little texture and adds to the vintage-y feel.

The main image is from Ornate Blossom, stamped on whisper white card stock with Tangerine Tango ink. I added two large pearls from the Basic Pearls Jewel Accents. Then, I swiped the So Saffron ink pad around the edges of the card stock. Chocolate Chip card stock was used to mat and it was attached with stampin dimensionals.

Across the card front, I attached a piece of Old Olive Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, looping the ends underneath the strip of ribbon and holding it in place with mini glue dots.

Birthday Bakery {Hostess Set}

The new Basic Pearls Jewel Accents are backed with adhesive, so sticking them on any project is simple. Here, I decorated some of my cakes from Birthday Bakery (Hostess Level 1) with them!

I stamped the cakes onto Whisper White and colored them in with Copic Markers. Across the top and the bottom, I paper pierced the white card stock and layered it onto Pink Pirouette.

The base is Crumb Cake, layered with a scrap of Shades of Spring DSP I had in my desk drawer. Across the front, from top to bottom, I wrapped a piece of 1″ Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon around the DSP and tied a smaller piece into a knot at the top. Then, I attached the stamped layer to the base with stampin dimensionals.

Stampin Up Funky Four Rainbow Catalog CASE

There is a great card in the new catalog that I knew I wanted to copy right away. It’s very similar to this in terms of color scheme and the stamp set used–Funky Four.

The base is Crumb Cake, with the leaf stamped in the same color ink along the sides. Next, I stamped the leaf print using the stamp-a-majig on Whisper White card stock in the following four colors: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, and Marina Mist.  Underneath each leaf, I attached the corresponding color button from the Bold Brights Designer Buttons Collection using glue dots. Then, I stamped “happy birthday” from Curly Cue in Chocolate chip ink at the top.

I matted the Whisper white on Chocolate chip card stock, that was embossed with with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and the Big Shot.

And that’s it–a colorful, clean and simple card perfect for any occasion–just swap out the sentiment.
