Mother’s Day

I wanted to make some Mother’s Day cards today, but I was trying to challenge myself to use a stamp set other than that Good Friend set I’ve been using to death lately. I know, people must have thought “Does she have any other sets?”

New stuff is on the way, but today I made good use of a few oldies but goodies. Here’s one of my all time favorite sets, Season of Friendship. Too bad it’s retired–I will treasure mine forever!

I apologize for the picture quality here, I just could NOT get a good shot tonight. As for the details: Card base is Chocolate chip card stock, 4 1/4″ x 11″ folded in half, fold at the top. Using Season of Friendship, I stamped the tree in chocolate chip ink and the leaves in Kiwi Kiss. The flowers were stamped in Pink Pirouette on Whisper White card stock and cut out with my scissors. With my cropadile, I punched a hole in the center of the flower and used a small green rhinestone brad. So that the prongs wouldn’t stick out, I bent them toward the center of the flower. Then I adhered the flowers with glue dots.

The sentiment is from Blooming with Love, stamped in Basic Black on a piece of Whisper White. The leaves were stamped in Kiwi Kiss again.

Along the bottom, are 3 Kiwi Kiss Corduroy Buttons, threaded with Linen Thread and adhered to the base with glue dots.
