I couldn’t help myself!

Another one of my boring brown cards, but I love them so much! This striped DSP is from Urban Oasis. I ran it through the CB using the Manhattan Flowers embossing folder and then slightly distressed the front with a sanding block.

The sentiment is from Great Friends, stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. The button is from Button Latte, and threaded with Hemp Twine. Card base is Chocolate Chip textured card stock. Easy, quick, and beautiful!

Thanks for looking!

Butterfly Blue

This card uses the stamp set, Great Friend, and a couple of techniques that would make it a good candidate for a class or workshop. First, using Shimmery White card stock, I stamped the butterfly in Baja Breeze and then rolled the edges in Pacific Point, also known as the “Rock and Roll” technique. I cut out the butterfly and using a dimensional, adhered it to a 1 1/4″ Shimmery White circle, layered on a 1 3/8″ Taken with Teal circle.

Behind the butterfly, I stamped a piece of Baja Breeze card stock using the leafy stamp in Baja Breeze ink. That is mounted onto a piece of textured Taken with Teal, which I scalloped the edges with using the Scallop Edge Punch.

Shimmery white card stock makes up the next layer, which I did a few different things to: first, I scalloped the bottom edge using the Scallop Edge Punch; second, I added two Baja Breeze Corduroy brads to the top right corner using the crop-a-dile; third, I layered it with a small piece of Taken with Teal card stock, also scalloped; and lastly, I wrapped a piece of Baja Breeze satin ribbon around the front. The ribbon is from the Ribbon Originals “Valet” collection. On the ribbon, I used a “Thank You” rub-on from Fashion District in white.

Finally, the entire Shimmery White layer is adhered to the Baja Breeze base using dimensionals.
