Bring on the Cupcake

The color combo used here is Tempting Turquoise, Pear Pizazz and Chocolate Chip. It’s a go to combination for me. By changing up the stamps, it works for boys or girls, women or men. In this case, it was for a boy’s birthday, but just as easily could be appropriate for anyone.

I stamped the Pear Pizazz layer with Hello Friend (available July 1st) in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. “Happy Birthday” is from Bring on the Cake, stamped in Chocolate Chip craft ink and Clear Embossing Powder. I colored in the letters with new In Color Pool Party Marker.

The cupcake is a non-SU stamp that I colored in with SU Markers and topped off with Crystal Effects. On either side, I added Glimmer Brads. (I love them–I don’t use them enough!)

Sneak Peek {New In Colors & Stamps}

I was able to preorder  a few things from the upcoming catalog (available July 1, 2011) including the 5 new In Colors. This card showcases all of the new In Colors: Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder, and Lucky Limeade.

The card base is Pool Party (my favorite), layered with Basic Gray card stock. The stamps are from a Sneak Peek set called My Friend. I stamped the droplet image five times, turning it upside down every other time. Then, I colored in the drops with the In Color Markers and topped them off with Crystal Effects.

The sentiment is also from My Friend, stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I added a small button from Bitty Buttons, layered with Calypso Coral card stock I punched with the corresponding Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I tied some Linen Thread through the button and attached it with a Mini Glue Dot.

Domino Magnets

I love how these domino magnets turned out. The black and white really pops. The stamp is an old SAB set Polka Dot Punches. I stamped the circle image randomly on the domino, with Versamark ink. Then, I heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder.

Here is the same stamp set, but embossed with White Embossing Powder. I applied the ink to the domino after embossing with a Sponge Dauber. The colors used here are: Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac, and Regal Rose.

Last but not least, these domino magnets were made using the En Francais Background stamp. I stamped onto the domino with Brown Stazon ink. Then, using sponge daubers, I applied Pretty in Pink and So Saffron ink to the dominoes.

In the lower corner of each domino, I added a button (from Designer Buttons) with a Basic Pearl in the center of the flower. I glued the flowers on with Crystal Effects.
