I’ve been pretty quiet the past week or so, because THIS is what I’ve been up to!
Wedding cake, invitations, decorations, etc. Not MY wedding–my brother in law and my new sister in law got married over the weekend in a beautiful, rustic, perfect fall wedding.
I offered to help with invitations, cake, and anything else they needed. Here are the results!

Carrot Cake
Wedding Cake is a rustic 3 tier (12″, 9″, 6″) Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. I added some cinnamon and honey to the frosting, which gave it a nice flavor and slightly tan color, which matched the Raffia tied around the bottom of each tier.

Caramel Apple Favors
The apples were dipped in melted caramel (Kraft caramels worked the best!), chopped walnuts & heath bar bits. We used twigs from my yard as a stick and tied the bags closed with various colors of raffia. I made the thank you tag with the Day of Gratitude stamp set, Very Vanilla card stock, and punched them out with a 1 1/8″ Circle Punch.

This was a cute card I made for a little boy’s birthday. Since I bought the Owl Punch last month, I haven’t had a single idea what to do with it! I decided now was the time to play with it and came up with this card. It works for kids, and probably adults as well. I especially love the little red argyle “sweater” I made for one of them!
The card base is Early Espresso, layered with Whisper White and a sheet of retired Welcome Neighbor DSP. I punched out the owls from Chocolate Chip card stock, and various colors of DSP (Peach Parfait, Certainly Celery, Real Red, and retired Autumn Meadows DSP.) I added googly eyes and little beaks to make them extra cute. They are attached to the card with stampin dimensionals.
The sentiment is from On Your Birthday stamped in Chocolate chip ink. I cut out the “4” from Play Date Quick Accents. I punched it out with the Curly Label Punch and layered it onto a Chocolate Chip Curly Label (turned 90 degrees). I added two colored eyelets with the cropadile and knotted some Hemp Twine around the card front.

I really like the Tags Til Christmas set, and adding the tags to a card is another great idea for them. Here, I stamped the tree from Season of Joy on Whisper White after coloring the stamp with Always Artichoke, Daffodil Delight, and Chocolate Chip Markers. With a fine tip glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds, I added some glitter to the swirls on the tree. That layer was then matted onto Chocolate Chip card stock and paper pierced around the edges with the paper piercer.
The card base is Real Red, layered with Whisper White and retired Holiday Lounge DSP.
As I mentioned before, the sentiment is from Tags Til Christmas. I colored in the stamp with Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, and Always Artichoke Markers, stamping it twice. I punched one of them with the Curly Label Punch, and cut out the colored words from the other, attaching them to the Curly Label piece with stampin dimensionals.
Then, I just layered the Curly Label Punch onto a Chocolate Chip Modern Label Punch and Real Red Decorative Label Punch. Two green Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads finish off the tag.
Behind the tag, I added a piece of Chocolate Chip 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon, notching the ends with my Craft & Paper Scissors (aka My Ribbon Scissors).
