Melon Mambo True Friend

For this card, I used the Lovely Lines Rub Ons from Lovely Flowers Hostess Level 3 bundle. I applied the white rub on to the Lovely Flowers DSP and trimmed it out with my paper snips. The stem was done the same way, but I trimmed it out and flipped it over on the back side to show the Old Olive (this was a mistake that ended up working out for me). It’s adhered to the card using a double stack of dimensionals.

The card base is Crushed Curry, a nice saturated golden yellow color. Next, is a piece of Basic Black to allow the White striped layer to pop (from Taste of Textiles). Across the bottom, I have a strip of Basic Black card stock that I wrapped with 2 ribbons–the new Melon Mambo Polka Dot grosgrain and Old Olive 5/8″ grosgrain.

The sentiment is from Lovely Lines (part of the Hostess Bundle) which I colored with Melon Mambo Marker and Old Olive Marker. That was stamped onto Shimmery white card stock and punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. Then, I stamped the flower image from Lovely Lines in Melon Mambo ink onto Melon Mambo card stock and punched it out with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. That was pierced with my paper piercer and then I used my White Gel Pen to create a faux stitched look. Paper piercing at the top corners finishes off the card.

Lovely Flowers

This is new Lovely Flowers DSP from Stampin Up’s sneak peek. I was able to order this Level 3 Hostess Set Bundle, which includes Lovely Lines Rub Ons (white and chocolate chip), Lovely Flowers DSP, and the Flower Lines Stamp set. The paper is so beautiful that you don’t really have to do much to make a lovely card!

Here, I didn’t use any stamps–just the DSP, card stock, a piece of ribbon and a clip. I purposely left the sentiment off because I think it could be used for many different occasions.

Sneak Peek Stuff

I just got my Sneek Peak order AND my new catalog. I ordered the Level 3 Hostess Bundle, Lovely Flowers and the In Colors. The only problem is….I don’t have my mojo today. All this new stuff and I can’t think of anything to do with it! Here are two basic cards that use the Lovely Flowers DSP, matching stamp set (left) and Oval All set (right). The card stock is Melon Mambo, a great watermelon-y lush dark pink/rose; Old Olive, and Whisper White. Best thing ever: Polka Dotted Ribbon! I’ve been waiting for this for a long time and this one is called Crushed Curry.
