Here is another sample of the In Color Prints Pack (Level 1 Hostess Choice) in Peach Parfait. The large polka dot pattern caught my eye right away, and on the back was this lined pattern, which reminds me of a recipe card. Since I had pie on the mind after ordering Every Little Bit, this is the card I came up with.

The base is Early Espresso. I sponged the DSP with Creamy Caramel ink slightly, just to tone down the bright white. I cut a strip of the large polka dot DSP and layered Crumb Cake underneath. I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the Crumb Cake, and the paper piercer to make holes in each scallop.

I added some vintage crochet ribbon, Victoria Crochet Trim, around the front of the card to give it a “from grandma’s kitchen” feeling.

The stamped image is from Every Little Thing, and the sentiment is from Birthday Bakery. I stamped the pie three times onto Whisper White and once on white scrap. Then, I distressed the Whisper White card stock by using the Cutter Kit Distressing Tool, rubbed Peach Parfait Marker along the edges, and sponged lightly with Creamy Caramel ink to tone it down. Along the top, I used the Spiral Punch.

After coloring in the pie I stamped on scrap with Copics and Stampin Up Markers, I trimmed it out and attached it to the card with a stampin dimensional.

I added some holes on either side of the sentiment with the paper piercer and used a brown Basic Brad to accent. Then, that piece was attached to the base with stampin dimensionals.

In the bottom right corner, I stamped “happy birthday” from Eat Cake (retired) in chocolate chip ink to finish off the card.

I’m working on some summer themed party invitations using the Cheers to You stamp set. I like them all for different reasons but the last one is my favorite. This stamp set looks especially good embossed and colored in with Copics. Crystal Effects gives an added 3D effect that also makes the drinks stand out.

SaveTheDate 017 copy

This is the last of the fall/autumn Save the Date cards I made. It’s probably one of the last few fall cards I’ll be making for the year. Since I already went crazy with Christmas cards last month, I’m hitting a wall so to speak. At least until something new comes along :)

The card is rather long and skinny because I toyed with the idea of making it a bookmark. But then I didn’t want to cut off the top by putting a hole for an eyelet and some twine/ribbon so I decided against it. I may rework it to be a bookmark again, I’ll just have to plan better next time.

The base here is more mustard, layered with chocolate chip textured card stock. On top of that, I took a strip of kraft and punched the sides using the Scallop Edge Punch. Then, I rolled it through the Crimper and finally poked holes in each scallop with the paper piercer. That layer is adhered to the base with dimensionals.

On top, I stamped the tree from Season of Friendship in creamy caramel ink, then stamped the leaves in so saffron, pumpkin pie, and tangerine tango. Some leaves were stamped along the bottom as well.

At the top, I stamped “Save the Date” from Introducing in chocolate chip craft ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Down over the tree trunk, I stamped the information from Please Come stamp set, but this could also be printed on the computer just as easily.

Edited to Add: Please note the dimensions for these cards should measure no more than 6 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ when folded. I accidentally typed 3 1/2″ when I posted originally. I’m sorry for any confusion!

These cards are longer than the ones I usually make, and are meant to hold money or a check without having to fold the bill or check in half. For all of these projects, overall card size is 6 1/2″ x 3 1/4″, which correspond to Stampin Up’s Small Open-End Envelopes. Inside, I lined the card with whisper white or very vanilla card stock cut to 3″ x 6 1/4″. I also used the Slit Punch to make a little “lip” in the card to hold the bill or check, or even a gift card.

The first card was made from a 3 1/4″ x 12″ piece of close to cocoa card stock, scored at 5 1/2″. This will leave the back flap of the card 6 1/2″ long and the front flap an inch shorter. To make up the difference, I attached a strip of real red card stock that I scalloped with the Scallop Edge Punch.

Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon covers any seams. I wrapped the ribbon around the entire card front and glued the top piece to the bottom piece of ribbon with SNAIL. Then, I took a shorter piece and wrapped it around the ribbon, creating a loop that I secured with glue dots. Slide the seam side underneath the vertical ribbon strip and using the cropadile, punch a hole through all the layers of ribbon. Add a Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad and there you have it!

The card front is layered with real red textured card stock and Christmas Cocoa DSP. In the center, punched out a close to cocoa ornament using the Ornament Punch and applied a rub on from Merry & Bright Rub Ons. Some Silver Elastic Cord was tied in a bow around the neck of the ornament and then it was attached to the base with dimensionals.

Here is another long card made the same way described above. Base is real red textured card stock, with a kiwi kiss scalloped edge. Real Red Polka Dot Ribbon hides the seam.

I stamped the snowflake from Merry (retired) in Versamark and heat embossed it with White E.P. The ornament from Delightful Decorations was stamped in Kiwi Kiss ink on whisper white and punched out using the Ornament Punch. I added dazzling diamonds glitter to the center of the ornament and a Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad. Next, I tied Silver Elastic Cord to the ornament and wrapped it around the inside.

The sentiment is from Berry Christmas stamped in real red ink on whisper white that I punched out using the Word Window Punch layered on a kiwi kiss Modern Label Punch. Both the ornament and sentiment are popped up on dimensionals.

Using the same colors as above, I only used rub ons from Merry & Bright Rub Ons to decorate this card. The ornament is kiwi kiss card stock, punched with the Ornament Punch. I added a Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad and Silver Elastic Cord tied in a bow around the neck of the ornament, which is attatched to the base with dimensionals.

This might be my favorite one of the bunch! The base for this snowman card is cut to 6 1/2 x 6 1/2″, scored on one side at 3 1/4″ so the fold is on the top edge. Card base is textured Kiwi Kiss, layered with the Bulk Buy Holiday DSP that was part of the Inventory Clearance. I attached the DSP to the base and then using my 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, punched a hole through both layers of paper.

To get the scallop window, I took a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock and punched a 1 3/8″ circle. Then, I took the Scallop Circle Punch and centered it over the 1 3/8″ hole I just punched from the chocolate chip card stock. Punch it out and you have a scallop circle window! Glue the scallop circle window to the front of the card.

Inside, I lined the card with a 3″ x 6 1/4″ piece of whisper white card stock. Making small pencil marks, I drew where the window lined up with the inside of the card. Then, I stamped the snowman from Snow Buddies in Brown Stazon ink and colored him in with Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pen. Around the base of the snowman, I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter (not shown).

Outside, I stamped the “Merry” sentiment from Merry (retired) in Brown Stazon ink in the lower left corner of the card.

Finally, I made a money holder card using the shimmery white paper from Taste of Textiles (retired). This is another top fold card, cut to 6 1/2″ x 6 1/2″, scored at 3 1/4″ with the fold on top. I added a strip of textured chocolate chip card stock across the front and layered two snowflakes from Felt Flurries. In the center, I punched a hole using the cropadile and added a Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad, which I adhered using a large glue dot.

The sentiment, stamped along the bottom right corner, is from Christmas Greetings and is in real red ink. Inside, I stamped the corresponding sentiment from the same set (not shown).

This is another card I made using my beloved Striped Kraft card stock. Instead of a winter scene, this one features a beautiful tree for fall. I’m going to a birthday party in a couple weeks for my dad’s friend, and although this breaks 2 major rule of Male Cards, I think I’m going to give it to him anyway. Rule #1 is NO Glitter for a man card and Rule #2 is NO Bows–Just ask my husband.

The card base is Baja Breeze, layered with chocolate chip textured card stock, which I scalloped the edges using the Scallop Edge Punch. The image layer is Striped Kraft, with the tree from Season of Friendship stamped in chocolate chip ink. The leaves are stamped in Palette Glue Pad and then sprinkled with Supernova Fine Cosmo Glitter in Orange and Green.

I tied some 5/8″ Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon in a knot around the Kraft layer and attached the whole thing with dimensionals. The sentiment is from Chit Chat Rub Ons.

I could kick myself for taking the Ornament Punch off my last order. I knew I was going to see awesome projects with it and love it but I still decided to take it off the list for reasons unknown to me now. So, I cut these out myself by hand like a crazy person. I’m ordering it as soon as I can!

Card base is Chocolate chip layered with Real Red that I used the Scallop Edge Punch along the bottom, with a piece of Bashful Blue card stock on top. I stamped the snowflake stamp from Delightful Decorations all over the blue in Bashful Blue ink.

I stamped the polka dotted ornaments, also from Delightful Decorations in Riding Hood Red ink on Whisper White (my Real Red ink is shot–goopy and weird–I need to order another one of those asap too). I cut out the ornaments and tied a piece of Silver Elastic Cord to the tops. Then, I stamped the snowflake stamp from the set in Chocolate Chip ink onto whisper white and cut them out using the 3/4″ Circle Punch, attaching them to the front of the ornaments with dimensionals.

The right and left ornaments are adhered to the base using dimensionals, with the elastic cord taped on the back of the Bashful Blue layer. As for the middle one, I punched out a circle using 7/8″ Circle Punch and added tiny pieces of dimensionals to the sides of the ornament to adhere it to the base. The photo was also punched out using the 7/8″ Circle Punch and adhered with a dimensional. But you could just as easily attach the photo to the front of the ornament and do away with punching circles. Or your could recess the picture, which is what I think I wanted to do at first but ended up putting a dimensional on the back of the picture by accident so I went with it.

Finally, I tied a knot using a short piece of Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon and adhered it to the top of the card using a glue dot.

On an unrelated note: this picture of my daughter was taken last year–I can’t believe how big she has gotten! I almost cried!! She’s not a baby anymore!

I was really hoping I’d be able to earn this Level 2 stamp set–Snow Buddies–from the Mini catalog and I did! Someone placed an order with me and it bumped me up to the level 2 set.

This is a pretty simple card, but I’m trying to make it simple for Christmas cards because we all know how hard it is to have to make 50 complicated cards around the holidays–practically impossible.

I tried to use different colors than I normally use this time. I actually used Ballet Blue card stock and ink! I’ve never used Ballet Blue anything before. The images are stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White, colored in with Watercolor Pencils and blended using the Blender Pen. Again, to make it simple, I only colored a few spots on each snowman, just to give it enough pop.

The snowflakes are stamped in Baja Breeze and Ballet Blue ink. The sentiment is from Christmas Greetings, stamped in Ballet Blue and Not Quite Navy on top (I used the Stampamajig to get the correct placement). Along the side, I used a strip of Not Quite Navy card stock edged with the Scallop Edge Punch. The top layer is adhered to the base using dimensionals. Card base is Ballet Blue and Bashful Blue.
